For Teacher Applicants:
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for a teaching position, applicants from the Philippines must –
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, or a bachelor’s degree or higher in other fields plus at least eighteen (18) units in Education.
- Have passed the teachers licensure examinations given by the Professional Regulation Commission.
- Have a major, minor, certificate, diploma or a substantial number of academic credit units in Special Education, Mathematics or Science (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, General Science, Geology, Health Science, Physics, etc).
- Have at least two years teaching experience in the subject area applied for;
- At the time of application, be presently teaching in a public or private school in the Philippines or other country.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
Applicants from the Philippines must submit the following for initial screening by Sun Belt:
- Expression of interest
- Curriculum vitae
- Official transcript of records issued by the schools attended
Applicants who pass the initial screening shall submit the following for evaluation by the host school: - Certificate of live birth (a.k.a. birth certificate) issued by Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA);
- Certificate of marriage issued by PSA, if married;
- College diploma or certificate for degrees or trainings earned or completed;
- Teachers licensure examination results issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC);
- PRC ID card;
- Philippine passport valid for at least five years;
- NBI clearance issued by the National Bureau of Investigation.
Applicants who were issued visa by the US Embassy in Manila must submit the following: - Clearance from the Department of Education (for public school K-12 teachers) or the school president (for teachers working in private schools or state universities and colleges)
- Other documents as may be required
